Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover your use of this website and any work you hire Expert El Monte Insulation Services to do at your home or business. When you browse the site, call us, send the contact form or approve an estimate, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site or book work with us.

"We", "us" and "our" mean Expert El Monte Insulation Services. "You" means the person using the site or the owner or person in charge of the property where we work. A written estimate or contract for a specific job is part of these terms. If the two ever conflict, the estimate or contract for that job controls.

What we do

We're an insulation contractor in El Monte, CA, and we work in El Monte and the cities around it. Our work includes attic, wall and crawl space insulation, blown-in and spray foam insulation, insulation removal, air sealing and vapor barriers. You can read more about our crew on our About page or start from our home page.

Service descriptions on this site are general. They explain how a job usually goes, not exactly what your house will need. What we'll do at your property is set out in the written estimate for your job.

Estimates and pricing

We give free in-person estimates with no obligation to hire us. An estimate is based on what we can see and measure during the visit, such as how much insulation is already up there, how easy the space is to reach and what has to come out first.

Some conditions only show up once the work starts, like old insulation that's been soaked, droppings from pests, hidden gaps or damaged framing. If we find something that changes the scope or the price, we'll stop and explain it to you before we do the added work. We won't charge for added work you haven't approved.

An estimate stays open for the period written on it. After that, prices for materials and labor may change, and we may need to update it before we start.

Scheduling, access and cancellation

We'll agree on a start date with you and do our best to keep it. Weather, material delays, illness or a job running long can push a date back, and if that happens we'll tell you as soon as we know and set a new time.

You agree to give our crew safe access to the work area, including the attic hatch, crawl space entry or garage, and to keep children and pets clear of it while we work. Some products, spray foam in particular, need everyone out of the house for a set time after it's applied so the area can air out. We'll tell you that re-entry time before the job, and you agree to follow it because it's there for your family's safety.

If you need to cancel or move your appointment, please call us or use our Contact page as early as you can. If we've already ordered special materials for your job or the crew is on the way, we may charge for those costs, and your estimate or contract will say how.

Payment

Payment terms, including any deposit and when the balance is due, are written on your estimate or contract. Unless it says otherwise, the balance is due when the work is finished.

If a payment is late, we may pause any remaining work until the account is brought current. You're responsible for reasonable costs we incur to collect an unpaid balance, to the extent California law allows.

Our work and what we stand behind

We're licensed and insured, and our work is backed by our satisfaction guarantee. If something about the finished job isn't right, call us and we'll come back and look at it with you.

Insulation slows heat moving in and out of your house, but how comfortable your rooms feel and what your power bill looks like also depend on things we don't control, such as your heating and cooling system, windows, ductwork, how the house is used and the weather. Because of that, we don't promise a specific temperature, energy savings or bill amount.

Products we install may carry their own warranty from the maker, and that warranty comes from the maker, not from us. Apart from our satisfaction guarantee, any warranty in your written contract and any warranty the law requires, we provide our services and this website as they are, without other promises.

Limits on our liability

To the extent California law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect or follow-on losses, such as lost income, higher utility costs or damage caused by conditions that were already in the house before we arrived, like existing leaks, mold, pests or faulty wiring.

If we're found responsible for a loss connected to a job, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit, including liability for our own gross negligence or intentional wrongdoing.

Using this website

The information on this site is general and meant to help you understand insulation work. It isn't a substitute for an on-site look at your house. We try to keep it accurate, but we don't promise that every page is complete or current.

The text, photos and design of this site belong to Expert El Monte Insulation Services. Please don't copy or reuse them for business purposes without asking us first. Some links may lead to other websites, and we aren't responsible for what's on them.

If we disagree

If you're unhappy with our work or a bill, please call us first so we can try to sort it out directly. Most problems get settled faster that way.

If we can't resolve it together, either of us may bring the matter to small claims court or another court with authority in Los Angeles County, California.

California law applies

These terms and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of California. If a court finds that part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted on this page is the one that applies when you use the site. A job you've already approved stays under the terms that were in place when you signed, unless we both agree in writing to change them.
